I have been looking at some used 250r four strokes. I have been looking between honda and yamaha. I found one that I like but its a 2001 yz 250r. Isn't that the first year honda introduced the 250r? Is there any problems with the yamaha's first year 250r that you guys know of? Im kinda iffy about getting a first years...

The Yamaha is a YZ 250"F" and there were rumors about crank ? problems, do a search you will come up with an answer as it was a top topic for quite awhile. I believe that it is now a non issue though. Also a little hard to start when hot as they didn't have that sorted out yet, not bad but a typical 90's era 4 stroke.
