02 crf 450r cam

i was trying to find out if the 02 cam grind was different than the later years of 450's. is it more low end power than other years? i will be doing a top end soon, and i want to put a good low to mid cam in it. the hot cam or wiesco kits are out there. anyone out there found a good combo? thanx.

The original 2002 CRF450 cam is fairly aggressive. Hot Cam Stage 1 is the standard replacement to make the bike more rideable. I have the Stage 1 in my 2002 and it is a great upgrade in terms of useable torque. Adding the Wiseco piston kit with a little more compression is a great combo with that cam.
