'02 KDX 220...what fender really fits?

I have an '02 KDX 220R. The previous owner put an aftermarket rear MX style fender on it, and it doesn't fit worth a hoot! The tire hits the fender, and there is a big gap between the fender and the airbox.

Is there an aftermarket rear fender that really fits this bike?

If not, does anyone have a busted stock rear fender that I could use to graft to the MX fender to seal the airbox/ seat?

The only made to fit mx style rear fender that I'm aware of is made by Mair, available in black or green, I got the black version it was a good fit but it looked like crap in a few rides. If I had it to do over I'd get green. I think UFO makes an enduro style replacement.
