Guys/Gals,
Looking for some input. I ride on midwest (Kansas/Missouri/Arkansas/Illinois) trails and plan on getting back into some enduro/hare scramble stuff. My last bike was a 1992 KX250 that I did some nice mods on to make it a nice woods weapon. I havent owned a bike in about 6+ years. BTW, I am 6'4 and 200 lbs.
What bike would you guys go with? I found a pretty good deal on a 2002 KTM 400 EXC (under $4k). What about the WR450, CR450F or how about even a 2 stroker KTM 250EXC or 300? Or maybe go with another CR/KX250 2 stroke and mod it for woods?
What is the current opinion? Picked up a bike rag today and it seemed all the magazines are super hyped on this 4 stroke bandwagon.
