I am putting the powervalves back into my 2002 YZ250.

I am confused as to what way the secondary P/V guides go???  Those are the ones on the edges of the main P/V rod that open the secondary P/V's???

I have a  shop manual for the bike,  and if I put it in the way that it shows, it doesn't open the secondarys when the rod is pulled.  If I put them in the other way it doesn't seem right either.

Are the secondarys supposed to open on exhaust pressure or what?

I am confused!!!

Thanks guys! (And girls.) :)

The sub ports open up after the main valve. You have to rotate the actuator a little further to get the sub ports to open. On mine, there's quite a bit of resistance after the main valve opens because you're working against the spring between the main power valve and the actuator arm.

Thanks!!! That's what I figured after I got to really looking at it. It is a bit different than my KX, and after I looked at that it all "clicked".
