hey im new to bikes and i dont realy no alot about them. i just bought an 03 model crf450r. i was just woundering what the go is with the oil dip sticks are. why is there one on both sides of the bike. in my limited experience i have only ever seen 1 on a bike. is this just 2 places to put the oil in or is there diferent oil for diferent parts of the engine supost to go in them. please help because i dont want to blow it up all ready.

Honda 4 strokes have separate oil for the trans & engine.

Both drain bolts are on the ignition side, near the shift lever.

The larger bolt closer the to the engine centerline is for the trans.

Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to invest in a service manual. There are a million things you'll need to know, that you can learn about in the manual.

am i supost to use different oil for these? or do i just use the same oil. and can you please tell me what type of oil?

take a trip to ur closest honda dealer and get a manual it will pay for itself every time you use it .. some of my friends cheap out and use the same oil in both cases but im not sure of the effect if any... but i do kno they make fluids specific to each
