My 03 250SX is fouling plugs something fierce. Does anybody know the best carb settings for 80% trail/20% track style of riding? Jets and needle adjustments? Could a hose be unplugged? The plug had so much carbon on it that the plug-gunk felt like sandpaper!
Any links would be helpful also.
Thanks

My suggestion would be to go to www.KTMTalk.com, post your question on the jetting forum, there are lots of experts on there & there will be guys who have set up this exact bike for the same use.

175 main, stock needle, stock clip postiion, 48 pilot, 1 1/2 out on the airscrew.....at a 40/1 ratio (sealevel-1500 ft above sea level) as a starting point.

i would look into a 175 main, R1468G needle ( KTM p/n# 54731034200 ) -3rd clip, 48 pilot, at 40/1....again this for sealevel-1500ft above.

i've heard alot lately about klotz r50 oil fouling plugs if ridden at low rpm's alot.

an over oiled or dirty air filter can cause your bike to run rich also.
