03 KX250 Throttle Swap

I was wondering if a CR/YZ throttle setup is a direct swap for the KX setup? I take my throttle apart for cleaning and grease every couple rides and the KX setup is a pain IMHO. What are there like 5 or 6 pieces in there?
The trottle on my YZ426 is far easier to take apart, clean and put back together.

The '03 should have a Keihin PWK on it. You could fit a '95 YZ throttle which has the correct carb end for this carb, or possibly a newer YZ throttle for the Keihin PWM. The 95 should be a painless install though. PM me if you're interested in a '95 throttle cable(NOS). Then will just have to puck up the throttle assm itself....

I agree that the Yama is a much cleaner throttle design!

Fuzzy, I tried the PM route but I guess I don't have access. So you think I need the cable and the housing? If this is true I may be interested in a 95 NOS Yamaha cable.
I was hoping the CR/YZ housing would be a direct fit with the 03 KX cable. Oh well I never have been lucky----

Could be....Just found this....Buy it, and see if your cable works....I think I'm going to keep mine, but then if needed just pick up a 95-95 cable from http://www.yamahaoftroy.com
