I've got an 04 YZ 85 that shifts fine through all the gears at
a moderate pace, then when you put it under a load it won't upshift. Tranny oil is fresh and proper level and the clutch is adjusted with the right amount of freeplay. Any ideas?

I've heard of issues with the shift forks wearing unevenly. Sounds like a splitting and inspection is due. can't really do much from the right side other than clutch...

The only problem I can find is the guide bar that two of the shift forks slide on is bent. The tolerance is .002", mine is running out .016". I ordered a new one, hope this is the problem. My thinking is that this is enough to bind the shift forks in their travel because the fit on the guide bar is @ .001" Thoughts??

Turns out that was it. Just wanted to follow up, and hopefully this post will help somebody out who has a similar problem.
Also, thanks Jasle for your help... :ride:
