Well, I know 125 2 smokes are made for top end, but I was just wondering how much more bottom end it has than an 85. The reason I am asking is because I may possibly get a 125 here soon, and I need to know if it is worth having for 50% trail riding most of the time, and then 50% flat areas. I also weigh 170.6 lb. I know a lot of people are going to say get a 250f, but I have nowhere near the money to buy one or even enough to maintain one. thanks.

well, comparing a 85 to a 125, lets say, the 85 has none!

yeah, I know that, but can you feel the bigger difference in torque? If so, how much greater? Sorry, I have only rode 1 125 in my life, and I can't remember how it was.

yes, a lot...
your model has power valve so it has to be better than my cr 80, but you feel a 125 as a bigger, heavier, and power full but smoother bike for trail riding.

A 125 will have considerably more torque than an 80 revving up. Once the powerband hits, it will be abrupt and much more than the 80. 125's are easy once you learn how to ride em. Keep the revs up and feed the power through the clutch. If you dont you can fail even the easiest of hill climbs when you shlould be pegged in a higher gear.
