first off...15 years old almost 16, 6'2, weigh about 160 pounds
About a year ago my dad got into vintage bikes and now we have three...a little 1974 honda tl-125 a 1975 yamaha ty-250 (both trials bikes) and a 1979 Bultaco 250 cross country race bike(with an highly moded mx motor in it). Basically all i've done over the last year is ride these. Now I'm interested in getting a newer mx bike of my own now and i'm wondering if a 125 or 250 would fit me better. I had the oppurunity of riding a 2002 cr-125 and it was great but i actually expected it to have more power and was kinda dissapointed. Going from drum brakes to disk brakes caused SOME problems lol. I know a 125 would have more than enough power but i've also heard that the 250's are easy to trail ride which i'll be doing some of. Cant think of anything else worth mentioning nowwww, just want to know if i could go from a 1979 250 mx bike to a "modern" 250 (with a flywheel weight possibly?) Finding a deal on a 250 also seems to be easier...
