125 rebuild

how can u tell when a yz 125 needs a rebuild?

i got a 01 yz125 either it needs a rebuild or i just need a bigger bike like a 250 :)

was rebuilt just before i got it 7 mounths ago

I run an hour meter on my 125. Prior to that, I did mine every 3-4 months. I typically ride every weekend for 1-2 hours, so 12 weeks would give me 12-24 hours. I just called it 20. If I missed a week, then I took that into consideration. Now that I have the hour meter, I shoot for 20-24 hours on mine. Not-actual-racing, but pretty hard practice. I also change my air filter every ride and run 32:1 on gas:oil.

Use that as a guide. At 7 months, you're probably over-due.
