Ive searched every store around here and i cannot find a 14mm hex socket or key. Sears has 12mm and 17mm but not 14mm? Any ideas?

Get yourself a bolt with a 14mm head and bend it 90deg. Not the best solution, but it will work in a jam.

A 9/16" socket will work in a pinch. It is slightly bigger than 14 mm but a 6 point socket won't slip.

Then he wonders why his truck wont idle. "The rubber bands and duct tape seem to hold just fine"

:rotfl: Hey, YT_do0d is pretty good with nuts and bolts and thread sizes and such! The key words are "six-sided".

You know you've said something messed up when your posts make "Honorable Mention" in the chatroom. ;)

Hey thanks for the suport Lou :)

A 9/16" is .011" bigger than a 14 mm and a 6 point wrench will not slip. A cheap-o 12 point might so use at your own risk. They way tolerences are I've seen 14 mm wrenches that are looser on a 14 mm bolt than a good 9/16" wrench.

Would a twelve sided hex wrench still be a hex wrench, and what would you use it for?
I guess dodec wrench sounds pretty cool.

I think the Bodge was looking for an outy and not an inny, and he found it, so I'll shut up now.

They look like this...

You're going to have to register first but then you'll be in with the IN crowd...or so I've been told. Just be sure and use the drop down box and select your affiliation. :rotfl:

Is an outy .011" bigger than an inny? Or is it the other way around? I'm confused.

Holy crap! I just realized that you are talking about an internal hex :bang: Forget what I said about a 9/16" working on a 14 mm. That's only for an external hex.

It was the inny and outy comments that jump started my brain. I'll :moon: :uh: myself
