Is it possible to just switch the 19" rear with an 18" rear off a kdx without modification, or with any other models?

Also, what years got the 19" does anyone know?

Cheers!

I picked up a basket case '95 KX 125. The rear hub/rim/sprocket/disc assembly was a straight switch, as I recall, onto H model KDXs.

another tire question, will a 120/100-18 tire fit on a 97 kdx?
It would probably fit (check side clearance), but why bother with such a big tire? The bike will handle better with the 100/100 that it is supposed be fitted with, especially in turns.

Switch the 19" rear on what?
No KDX200/220 I know of came with a 19" wheel.

Regardless, no reason you couldn't lace up a 19" rim in place of an 18-incher...or visa versa. You'd just need new spokes.

The KDX200SR model came with a 19"rear - I believe this version wasn't sold in the USA.

I had a 18" rim laced to my hub many years ago so I could get a greater choice of rear tyre.

Cheers

I guess that's why I'd never heard of a KDX200 with a 19" rim!! :rotfl:
(I tend to not get overseas much...)
