1974 Yamaha DT250A primary drive nut size

Hi all. I'm new to the forum. I'm replacing crank seals on my '74 DT250A enduro. Not sure of the size of the nut on the crank securing the primary drive gear. It appears to be 26mm from my crude measurement, figured I would ask and save myself a return trip to the hardware store if it isn't 26mm. Thanks. Mike

Hello on my 1972 Dt1 flattrack bike it is a 27mm if that helps and I jam a penny in the gears to loosen the nut

Thanks Todd for the quick reply. It's probably the same. I'll cross reference the nut on the online microfiche to see if the nut on the DT1 is the same Yamaha part # as my bike. It is a different part #. I measured the nut again with my reading glasses (I'm getting old) and it does appear closer to 27mm. Thanks again.
