1978 Suzuki PE 250

Hey my dad just traded my odessey for a 1978 PE 250 does anyone rember these bikes??? where they good trail bikes?? he wants us to start racing harescrables me on my 1980 elsinore CR250 and him on the 1978 PE 250 is there any advantages to either bike? any suggestions would be great we would be running the missouri hare scrambles any information on the trails would be a great help thanks

oh my gosh! i remember that thing! i use to ride a '77 yamaha IT 250 back in the early 80's and my buddy use to have the PE! that bike worked well for him... very reliable and strong... didnt have the powerband like mine did... it sounded and sort of had torqu like a 4 stroke from what i can remember... have fun!!
