hey guys, just thought id share my dad's vintage iron with you, hes had this thing for 25 years. It was a little worn out, so we bought some stuff off flea*** for it.

also i have a question, did these bikes ever win the baja, i heard that they did.

uh_oh, nive 78 400. My uncle has one with a new top end and it goes. I love how easy it is to kick over and how much fun it is on hills. My 465 is almost ready to compet with the 400. I think its only down fall is the weight, but a 79 yamaha YZ400 aluminum swingarm helps loads. I do belive thats what i hear too is that it was winning baja. I know the 77 won ISDE series.

thanks 2 strokes for life. Ive been thinking about buying an old xt simply for the aluminum swing arm it has, as it is just a rolling chassis. do you have any pics of your 465? thanks for the info on the it winning races, after riding this thing I bet it rocked the world it was born in to.

I know it won a couple championships, as dwight rudder rode them.

uh_oh, yes you are right it did. My 465 still needs a new pipe, silencer, plastics, baja desinges lightting kit and some carb tunning. I will do the pics by this coming monday.
