Could someone put up some pics of their IT's exhaust? I'm trying to find out how the front of the barrel lines up with the pipe. Do I need an exhaust flange on the barrel? Also where do the springs from the exhaust go to? To the barrel fins or to the elusive flange? And if I need the flange can I get it from another model in the IT range?

Exhaust Flange

The IT's use at least on the 1977 and 1978 barrels the same type of exhaust flange used on the DT series bikes. It is chrome plated with spring loops on it. It has 2 bolt holes for 6mm bolts to fasten it. The pipe slips into the flange and then you can connect the 2 springs and finish bolting on the other 2 connecting points on the bike. The other connecting points use a rubber damper type of mount to help eliminate the vibration.

I have an exhaust flange that fits the 1977 and 1978. I think that the 1979 should be the same. Do you have 2 6mm bolt holes on each side of the exhaust port opening? If so the flange is the same.

Thanks
Jack
