J jpmanguy Member Jun 29, 2008 5 0 Jun 29, 2008 #1 i have a 1979 suzuki ts185. i would like a little more power out of it. is there anything i can do? ive got an aftermarket air filter (k and n style) and is rejetted, i also dont have a muffler on it. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

XRpredator AssClown SuperPowers Damn Yankees Aug 2, 2000 13,510 19 Jun 29, 2008 #2 put a muffler on it, and maybe go through the top end. It's an old, air-cooled, dual-sport two stroke. You're not going to get a lot more out of it, so enjoy it for what it is.

D digifox Member May 25, 2006 207 1 Jul 5, 2008 #3 You can always squeeze out more power 1.Port and polish 2.rebuilt the top end(bore out if wanted) 3.re-jet for new engine specs. 4.Re-gear for desired power. Oh and look for a DG pipe(yes DG makes pipes for the old stuff) and an FMF silencer (i know they have`em to fit the old stuff)
