1990 honda cr125

hey i have a honda cr125 1990 i think it needs a new top end.
im new to riding this is my first bike how do i tell if it needs a new top end?

well what are the symptoms of your bike?

youll know if your when u kick the bike its really easy(meaning to kick the bike)and if it takes more than 5 kicks to start your bike and your carb is working properly.

yeah that does happen when its cold but after it's been running it starts after one kick. but it is really easy to kick
is it hard to rebuild the top end? should i give it to a shop? and aproximately how much would it cost?

before you do any thing take a compression test see what it reads and look at the book and see what it recondems it to be at. It is about a 125 if you go mid range piston bearing pin and gaskets.
