stock bike except for air box lid removal.ride at 4300 ft.

getting a severe bog when cracking the throttle.

45 pilot bgn#3 or #5 (tried both) 155 main.

tried 45pilot cem#3 155 main, gets rid of the bog but runs way rich just off idle.

cem also hits too hard compared to the b needles.

suggestions?

thanks cj

ps bog was not a problem until lid removal seems to draw a ton more air without the lid.

Work on one circuit at a time. Put the stock needle back in. Start with the pilot. Your air screw adjustment will verify. Idles good at more than 2 1/2 turns out, you need a smaller pilot. Changing 2 circuits at once will give you a headache. Any mechanical issues will give you a headache. Air filter, fuel, sparkpug, reeds an packing for starters.
