today i was driving my yz 125 and i was flying up a road when the rear wheel completely locked up (not the brakes or the chain falling off) and now it wont start... any ideas on what might have happened?? do u think it might be sumhting int he gear box??
The bike still has compression, isnt seized and dosnet make any bad sounds then kicked over

sounds as though u seized the engine.
can you kickstart it? does the piston move? you might have broken a ring as well. there is n o real way of knowing unless you rip it apart and find out.

I had that happen. Pain in the butt my friend. Sounds like a piston seized. If it doesn't kick over don't try to kick it even more or else it will score up the cylinder if it has'nt already. You're in for a new top end would be my guess.

Pull in the clutch and push your bike...
A) if the wheel rotates, you probably need a new piston

2) if it doesn't, you probably need some new gears.

I think there are plastic stuffers on the '95 crank that could have melted down to globs of crud. There are replacements available, but I think they are for '96 and newer models. You may need to purchase the whole crank assembly for that model bike.

Although, it may just be a siezed piston.
