1996 rm 125

just bought bike off ****, no repair manual yet. from what i found on internet it is 80w bottom end, friend has 99 cr 125 says his is 10/40, what do i use ,is he wrong? dont want to even talk to local dealer they suck so bad. how do i confirm oil level, no sight window, he has bolt to pull out and i dont have manual yet(its on its way soon). any info would be helpfull !!! THANKS IF YOU CAN HELP

i use 10/40 in my rm its a 91.it should say on the side of the case it should be 650ml

In every Rm i have, i used ATF type F oil for the bottom end. Its cheap and seems to be the only dang oil that really worked for my RM's. I never had any problem putting about a quart in there, maybe a little less on a 125

didnt know what to put in it. it does give ml on the side, just thought there was another way to check oil level. thanks for the reply. i will try the atf.
