i am picking one up tomarrow and id like some opinions on what i should look at on it besides checking compression with the thumb over the plug hole, bearings, gears and seals. i dont have a compressin tester. thanks
so when you kick it over, if your finger gets pushed off easy you know it has good compession. just something i heard awhile ago.(i never tried it though) but i decided not to get the yz because i managed to get a 96 xr 400 for $900! the fork seals are leaking a bit on it, but he had new ones for it and the fork covers. the only other thing is that it has a rip in the seat. once its started and warmed up it runs great! no knocking, no valve noise and the tires are good on it! i'll have a picture up tomorrow of it. kinda the wrong place for a 4-stroke though. lol
