My 1999 YZ250 came with 14/51 sprockets when I got it (used) and I know 14/50 was stock.I would like to stay in 2cnd and 3rd gear a little longer on the track and was wondering if anybody out there has ran a 14/49 ratio on a YZ250 around the same years. Thanks.
I bought my '99 with a 14/49. I changed to a 48 and like it even better. It still has plenty on the bottom and pulls a little longer. I'm not a revver and I wanted less hit and this change helped. I've even considered going to a 47.
