1st and 2nd gear gutless

I have a 2005 kdx220. I find that going through 1st and 2nd gear theres little power, I cant even pop the bike up. when i hit 3rd and up theres lots of go, but don't throw me off. i find 1st and 2nd sluggish. iam not much of a mechanic, but the other day i changed the plug, cleaned the air filter and took the carb apart and cleaned it. after doing all this i found little difference. Any suggestions?

Mod the airbox lid and rejet to start with.

What mods have you done to your bike? Are you running with stock sprockets?

Are you saying its a gear thing and not rpms?... i.e. if you leave it in second will the power eventually come on? if so than its the Kips (power) valve stuck in open position

The bike is stock. I do find shes a bit somkey. i mix the gas 32:1. After cleanin the carb she doesnt smoke as much. When i crack the bike in 1st and 2nd theres little response. In 3rd the bike will pick up speed pretty quick. But i still find the bike wont pop up. :(

I used to have that problem when my bike was cold, wouldnt get going unti i rang it out in 5th
