Went out in the front yard after work to get a few shots of my little girl. Figured I'd put on the 300 to see how it worked on the new body. I got a couple shots before I noticed a woodpecker in the tree, so I turned the lens on him instead. I didn't realize how narrow the depth of field could be with this lens.

Thanks. Still lots to figure out. Camera seems to meter a bit lighiter than my 1D. Where do you 20D shooters usually meter (0, plus, minus)? I always shoot plus 1/3 or 2/3's with the 1D, but looks like the 30D will be zero or minus 1/3.

Another zero here with the very odd exception of -1/3. Of course I managed to accidently turn the wheel and shoot about 4 moto's Sunday at -1 :bang:
