2 Questions can any1 please help?

Hey guys just have 2 questions if u can answer please do so i would appreciate the help..

1. A friend of mine has a 97 RM125, a water and oil mixture problem has occured where the gearbox and radiator is cappucino. I have been told that the cause of this is the water pump seal and that the water pump is internal..is this true or is there any other suggestions for this problem.

2. I am looking into buying a KX125 but alot of people are telling me that they arent so reliable mechanically and also they arent able to be honed or re-sleeved.

#1 sounds like a reasonable assumption. The seal is internal but not difficult. Just pull off the right side clutch cover and all the goodies are in there.

#2 You shouldn't hone a plated cylinder. If it's already been sleeved then bore it. If it's not been sleeved then re plate it or bore and sleeve it. If the plating is fine then just replace the piston and ring/rings.

Reliability? They're fine, just slow...
