I know i will get chewed out for this but,
I have run pennzoil premium 2 stroke in my kx 125 since i bought it. I have had no problems what so ever running 32:1 . I went riding with a buddy and we used spectro golden oil . I ran one tank with the sprectro oil and about 45 min later i fould a plug. switched back to pennzoil and have had no problems. Any suggestion on why that would be. Thanks

Different burn rate or mix ratio. Spectro likes 40-50:1 ratios. If you do that your jetting will be fuel rich and that will cause issues.

Stick with what works for you or pick an oil that you want and jet accordingly. Metal parts don't like switching lubes every ride so pick one and stay with it...

WHen running a synthetic you can get away with using less oil. It might well be that a higher ratio is required to avoid fouling.

Keep in mind that making a change in oil and/or ratio could require a change in jetting.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it, stick with the oil you know. If you have some need to change then take the time to dial it in.
