motometal, I'm not sure this is correct, but I think the hydrogen-hydrogen association he's speaking of is the VanDerWaal (?sp) force. If you'd force me to explain it further, I'd have to look it up. Again, this could be wrong, but I remember it simply because it was such an odd and interesting thing.
