Yeah really horrible question here - super fresh to the sport. I have a 98 KTM 200 exc. I was just wondering if it has 4 or 5 gears?

Here is some info on your bike. 200=193cc, 1 cylinder, 211 total pounds, and 6 speeds.

ep1k, yes. The first gear is fairly quick though.

yeah my 125 exc is the same way. 1 down and 5 up

I have the same bike, 6 gears. Go with a 46 tooth rear sprocket it helps alot. Enjoy the bike it is very versitile and a blast to ride.

Yeah first gear is weak, straight granny gear. Its never used except when I first takeoff obviously. So its 1 down and 5 up on my bike?

Depending what you're riding, I'd go for something like 13/50 or 13/52 gearing...but I ride pretty tight stuff.
