Yes, yet another wheelie thread, and to save you guys some time and effort i did a search on wheelies and read quite a few but just have a couple questions.

I have a 02 xr 200r stock pipe, and I can ride 2nd gear to 4th gear before I run out of yard. so I have that bike down to a science for long distance wheelies but how do you go about doing slow wheelies? I can just roll along and mabey a fast walking pace and get it up in the air but to keep it up i need to shift which means i have to go faster so are there any tips on how to go slow on a wheelie like that.

I also have a 94 cr 125 fmf powercore 4 pipe(if it maters) and I can easly get a wheelie up in the air but cant ride them because of the powerband or pipe what ever you want to say so do I just need to get a feeling of when the pipe is going to come on and let off a bit or what. I know you can get going on the pipe then bring the wheel up but I dont have enough yard for that.

and I know, practice practice practice...just lookin for some tips.

Thanks,Ryan

But even if you feather or blip the throtle like that wont the pipe still come on? or by bliping the throtle the pipe isnt as much of a hit?

and if I had that much room to do wheelies I would be in heaven.

If I had somewhere with more room to practice I wouldnt have posted this thread. So im trying to work with what I have and do what makes me happy even if it is just in my back yard throughout the weekdays. And im not going to drive an hour and 45 minutes just to practice wheelies im going to practice trail riding.

but good call i think if all of us had the room we would be practicing every free seccond.

yea i wish i had like miles and miles of room to just explore....but just keep trying man...you will get it down, eventually. And like you said you were going to start trail riding. Those wheelies will come in handy sometimes when you wanna pop over a log or skip across some water, just keep ur head on right and u'll b alright
