I have recently come across a trade possibility. I dude that works for me has a 2000 RM250, I havent seen it yet but he says its in "showroom condition" yea right, except for a flat rear tire. He wants to trade me the bike and some cash ($500- $1000) for my 92 ZX11. It sounds like a bargin. The ZX looks sharp but its an old bike and only worth about $2500- $3000. I havent seen RM yet but Im going to look at it next week.

What are some things to look at when getting a used dirt bike like this?
Are there any common problems with the 2000 RM250?
How much money should I expect to spend to make a 5 year old dirt bike run great, and is it worth it?
