2001 mxc400

This my first thread so go easy on me...
Got the new 400MXC six weeks ago and just had my first full day ride on it, what a great bike. But I did have a little problem, before cleaning it I noticed that the kickstarter seal had been leaking pretty bad, oil around the seal and down under the cases and frame tubes. Has anyone else had this problem? the dealer said this was the second one he's seen. He's not sure if he'll cover it because the warranty is only 30 days.

It has a kickstarter? What for? :) Seriously, I've never heard of this problem on the RFS. I had to replace that seal on my 98 KTM 380MXC. Pretty much had to pull the whole side cover off. Not hard but still somewhat of a PIA for a seal.

My friend has the same bike, same problem, not bad but enough to attract a layer of dust around the shaft. He also lost his kickstarter, we're not sure how long ago because he's never used it :silly:

Bike probably has 20 hours or less, he's only had it for about 2 months.

The kickstarter bolt is a key one to use loctite on.
