I have some one that is interested in getting an 02 CR 250, and I know they made a lot of changes from the 99 and up, but is the 02 good, ok, or have any issues? Just looking for overall opinion, how is turning, etc.
Good bike, very competent. Some argue that the porting sucks. An 03 cylinder and power valve can be swapped in for an improvement. Jetting on the Mikuni carb is also difficult. Sudco sells bolt on Kehins. Don't run a FMF SST pipe if you plan to run pump gas.
Yeah it doesnt need to be the best of the best, but just really good. I suppose jetting may be an issue. Sounds like a good bike for the most part.

great bikes. handling and suspension is excellent,build quality is very good likes most hondas. Although some people think the powerband is only mid-top, i have set mine up for trail riding and its got great low end power. also dont believe all you hear about the mikuni carb being no-good. the keihin may be great but if the mikuni is jetted right then it works well.
