I've got one ordered and paid for. I keep hearing that it will be the 1st of November. BUT, the 2002 426's are now in, about 3 weeks earlier than we were told.

Anybody got any up to the minute news on when we'll have the YZ250f's in hand?

I'm hoping 3 weeks early, that would make me a happy guy!

A buddy of mine is looking into getting a 250F and he found one 2002 250F in Oregon for $5900. The rest of the dealers here in N. California are saying October.

Good luck
Pat

i'm still kinda amazed at the $5500+ price tags on these 2001/2002 yz250f's. My bro bought a used diesel mercedes (250d) in mint condition for $2600. How is it that these bikes are more epensive than a car that lasts 900,000 miles? Is the engineering that goes into the development of these bikes really that costly?

Low production and the bike of the year moniker combine to make your wallet hurt in ways you could only have imgained... :)

You'll never have us much fun (at least in the front seat) of that Mercedes as you would on a bike. I suppose they factor in the "Fun" with the price.

Plus, any accident bad enough to put you in a cast will TOTAL your car, just wipe the dust off the bike, buy a $9 lever and your back in business.

And, the BEST part is you can crash over and over again with minimal damage to the bike... That is the best part right?

dejacky,

They're all overpriced... BUT, I can't wait to pay to much for mine here in the next week. :)

$3000 would be better. Heck, FREE, would be better.

rockchucker, do u know what the asking price for the 2001 yz250f in Arlington was? I just saw a blue book value of the bike for LESS than $5499. Btw, can u buy a dirt bike & just pay monthly payments on it instead of paying the full payment when u buy it? thanks for everyone's help.
