New member here. My whole life Ive wanted a CR250 Street titled. Ive had many bikes when I was younger but skipped the last ten years riding on and off road. As a 36 year old man and finally purchasing my first home Ive decided it's now or never. Not sure how many years I have left enjoying an uncomfortable ride lol.

I finally bought a 2003 CR250. It's in pretty good shape. I'm going through the bike now with chain slides, sprockets, fluids etc. I purchased a lowering link and dot tires. After I replace all the new components myself im dropping the bike off at my local shop for the tires and adjust the suspension.

Once I get it back I will start the lighting and wiring. The only part im really struggling on is Integrating the charging system. I think im purchasing the stator from Ricky's stator. I was under the impression that I can just hook up the stator wires to a small battery wherever I can sneak it in and wire the lights off the battery. After some research I'll need a rectifier? Ricky's stator puts out ac on the power output or just the bikes oem power required components? The stator has an oem plug output and two others pos negative im assuming.

This is going to be a long process but Ill take you guys along for the ride if your interested. Thank you and I am soooooo excited!

I did a ride a couple years ago with a guy on a plated CR250. He did fine except that he didn't have any fuel range and ran out. He had to stop at nearly every store to fill up. Something to consider.

I still have my '02 CR250 but I have a '19 CRF450L for the street-legal rides.
