2003 kx 125

im looking at buying a 2003 kx 125, but the guy says it needs a new cylinder/jug and piston. how much do you think this will hurt my wallet?also how can i tell if hes telling the truth about everything thats wrong with it, before i buy(if i do).thanks

If it doesn't run, it's hard to see what else (mechanically) is wrong with it without tearing it down.

Personally, I would never buy a bike that needed that much work (unless it was a classic bike).
