I bought a used 2003 yz250. When I adjusted the rear shock to get 100mm sag, It has no 10-25mm drop in. It is fully extended. I weight 190lbs without gear. What size spring do I need?
My current spring is silver. Is this the stock color?

If you go to www.racetech.com and put in all the info they will tell you your stock shock info as well as the recommended shock spring. It's very helpful.....

try to see if you can get a stock take off spring from a yz426 or yz450, it might just put you in the ball park- it works ok on my yz, but then i am alittle heavier at 220lbs

If you have no static sag, you need a heavier spring. Check your manual for what is stock. Its probably a 4.8 and the next heavier rate is 5.0.

I have tried the race tech site. According to them, I did not need heavier fork and shock springs, but needed to buy their valving. Well, I had the susp revalved first (not race tech). Huge improvement. Then I bought springs and its even better. I am about your size and have an 02 YZ250.
