After 4 hours on my new bike, I am planning on completely my first oil change tonight. I have heard some absolute horror stories about removing the lower screen bolt. Does anyone have any tips on removing this bolt without stripping out the allen head? I know I need to have the engine warm and some people have said that they "shock" the nut while removing. Does this mean the give a quick and deliberate whack with a hammer on the allen wrench or socket to jar the bolt loose? Any tips would be appreciated!

Lay bike on his left side, insert good fitting allenhead socket, give some good hammer blows, unscrew.(Yes warm engine helps.)
Replace bloody bolt with aftermarket 13 mm hex head bolt.
Trouble over.
