Well it is official. The race that was supposed to be on June 24th and was rained out is now officially canceled.
It is tough to swallow the fact that after trimming and arrowing 24 miles of trail that we will have to wait a year and do it all again.
I guess the silver lining in all of this is the trails are still a mess and trying to run 120+ bikes through the trails as they are would cause considerable damage so having a year to reroute and repair is probably the best.
A big thanks to all the Heartland Spodes who showed up ready to work on the original date. At least we got a good Meunster ride in!
