2007 Kawasaki KLX250 starting problems

I have just bought a KLX250. If it sits for more than one day it can be a bear to start; has anyone else had this problem?

Do you turn the fuel off when the bike is sitting? You may have a float adjustment issue. With other 4 strokes, some need a small burst of fuel before your try to start. My YZ450 need 2 quick stabs of throttle then kick with no throttle added. Started first kick. Experiment a bit but I suspect the float needs adjustment or the needle valve/seat cleaned.
