I have a stock 2007 RMZ450, the only mod is a Two Brothers slip-on, spark arrester removed. Our local Drag race track is now carrying VP fuels. The selection is limited to; MS-103 unleaded, 110, C12 and C16. Which fuel would best compliment the motor?

Thanks, Steve.

If those are your choices then C12 would be your best bet.

Thanks Rich. Which fuel in the VP line would you suggest? The local dealer has a better variety, along with higher prices.

I guess it would depend on what you are trying you accomplish with the fuel.

Increase the throttle response and have the power last a bit longer in the upper rpms.

C12 would be a good cost effective way to meet those goals. It's easy to tune and it's easy to handle unlike the VP Ux fuels.

That said, if you buy the fuel from a bulk tank at the dragstrip don't set your expectations too high. You'll never know for sure what you'll be getting. To realize all the benefits of the fuel you really need to buy it in small sealed containers like 5 gallon cans.

What type of riding / racing are you going to be doing? If it's just trail bike stuff, then any normal premium fuel will be good enough. And even MX with a stock engine, premium is good enough.

But if you like running expensive gas, be sure to spend some time re-jetting, otherwise you will not see any meaningful gain from an expensive fuel.
