I have a 2008 crf 450 and need a new rear sprocket. I want to go from the stock 48 teeth rear sprocket to a 50 teeth sprocket. The standard chain length is 114 links, how many links should my new chain be since I'm going with a larger sprocket?

Either increase the chain length by two or just move the wheel forward a bit..

Just buy a 120 link chain, and use a chain breaker to size it to what you need. You can get one at cyclegear for around $30.

116 links should cover it.
Most sell at 120 links. Then cut it.
I know Sidewinder has some really strong chains on sale and will cut to length for you.
4 strokes tend to wear out chains so get a good one.
