My friend just bought a new KTM and is having a hard time getting the jetting right. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! We ride around 700 ft above sea level at Land Between The Lakes in Kentucky. Temps now are in the 40's to 60's. Please share your base line settings and I will pass them on to him! Any season , it doesn't matter because we will have to go through this again when it warms up!

Thanks,
John :)

He would really like to get it right with the stock parts. Just incase something ever goes wrong or he looses a jet or breaks something. He can just go to the dealer and get the part. Thanks

All the JD kit is a custom taper needle and some main jets. The factory recommended jets should be a good starting point, but at those lower temps you may wanna go 1 size up on the main and pilot and raise the needle a notch. Dont forget the air screw too. Good luck.

So the needles are custom and it uses stock jets? Not jets like a Dynojet kit that are made by Dynojet and don't have the same numbers as say a stock jet. I will pass on the info to him because he is till having a hard time with the bottom end. Thanks

Well we got the top end set but the bottom end is still fluffy! Idle to 1/2 still bogs and hesitates. Any ideas or recommendations for the pilot or needle (using the stock pieces). He went with the 170 main and it was the trick for 1/2 to full! He as the red spring in for the powervalve.

if the bike bogs and has hesitation off bottom it's most likely lean and you can try turning the air screw in 1/4 turn at a time to see if that helps. I assume the needle is still in the stock position? (#4) you may need to put a 38 or 40 pilot in it too.

Mine has the 38 pilot and 170 main. Needle clip is in #4(from the top) slot. Let me know when you guys are going to ride Turkey Bay!

I live in Clarksville to. A little too cold this weekend.
