Off-road dirt bikes specialize in having no specialty. They aren’t motocross bikes and they aren’t dual-sport bikes, even though they are commonly used in both roles. The U.S. government has a much more specific definition for anything they call an “off-road vehicle.” It must pass both emission and sound tests.
