by the time you are done buying all the parts you will need like pipe, silencer, cdi, carb, and complete engine you will have more money wrapped up in the bike then you would if you sold your 125 and bought a 250. Not to mention all the fabrication work you will need to do to the frame and swingarm.

no. look at the frames!

and if you were to fab the frame up, it will cause so many handling and suspension issues. Like suggested, sell and buy

It's been done, and done, and done. I'm sure the service honda CR500 handles like crap. :blah: I've seen a kx250 in a kx125 frame. I've seen kdx200 engines put in many different frames. With some good planning and some welding skills darn near anything is possible! If you've got the money to spare and a hair up your rear to do it, I say go for it! Someone around here posted up a cr500 engine in an older xr80 frame.

They actually do! and the KX500AFs they do also. You need to spend the time and $$ to get the bike to handle and may need to swap swingarms.

LOL! MXA the gold standard (in their mind), the dog doo-doo standard for most people that actually have a clue.

Ride one and decide for yourself, I have and I want one....badly.
