I'm 210lbs.--- need a bike to satisify woods/technical trails and mx track.
Should I get a 250f or go 2 stroke 250 and get a flywheel to tone it down for the woods. Riding a KDX220 with mods right now. Don't like the drastic hit on the 250 2 stroke. Concerned that the 250 four stroke my not power my weight. I've been doing more track riding than woods riding of late.
Thanks

Dont buy the 250f!!! As a fellow kdx rider, i jumped on a 2005 yz250f, it it felt completely gutless in comparision to my stock bike. this would be a significant downgrade in power and torque between 0-7,000 RPM. KX250 w/14.oz flywheel

I agree with 4thgearandpinned. The 250f is a great race bike but you put it in the woods and it strugles. Unless you buy a WR250, CRF250X, the 250 2 stroke would serve you much better and plus you can race against 250Fs.

only because you probably struggle to ride a 2 stroke. Get the 2 with a big flywheel and youll be laughing mate.

I don't know if you're interested in KTM's, but Dirt Rider magazine did a great comparison of the 250XC vs the 250XC-F in the February 07 issue.
