Oil injector?

The bottle behind the left number plate is an overflow for the cooling system. ALA Kawasaki KDX200s.
You boys have a BIG learning curve if you think this bike is tall........
Mine should be here this week.

Nice, let us know how it runs. I'm thinking about one myself, what did you end up paying for it?

Sweet bike! I sure with the CA modle wasn't such a POS. Sounds like it has a totally differnt cam in it, based on the valve timing specs I've seen.

About 6300ish out the door. No freight/setup and got a couple hundred knocked off of MSRP

I went by the Honda shop tonight and saw one right in the front window. I would want to give one a whirl before dropping that kind of cash on it.

Ride Yarddog's, he won't mind! :) Looks like a great bike though, even if it's a Honda.

My riding buddy picked his up yesterday. That plug in the tailend needs to go. He was told it (removing it) woke up the bike a LOT. ...and was still not as loud as the 'r'.

Howcome such a huge difference in the headpipes between the two? I need to get to some specs to check valve timing numbers.......just did. Wow...big differences.

Anyone know (have a manual?) what the 'pink wire' disconnect on the ECU accomplishes? A spark timing change?

It's here my crf250X is here at home!!!!

Picked her up today. Put the D flex handguards on and the works connection skid plate. Cut the snorkel out and installed a twin air filter. The filter is a [@#$%&*!] to put back in. Now it's soposed to rain all weekend!!! that sucks. I just can't stop staring at it. Oh and it starts so easy with the kick start. it doesn't need the button but I'm sure I'll use it most of the time. here are some pictures. http://www.imagestation.com/mypictures/inbox/

Please keep us abreast as to the bikes performance, especially relevant is the need for jetting changes with the new low restriction air filter. I suspect these will be great "generic" do it all bikes for trial, enduro. H/S and natural terrian MX.

North Alabama CRF250X

I also picked up my CRF250X today. I live in Huntsville. The sucker looks corked up to me. It has a input snorkel and a exhaust baffle with a diffuser.
I am going to try it this weekend (forget the snow, go ride that puppy).

Yea it's corked up. I cut out the top of the air box and put in a twin air air filter and uncroked the pipe. That should help a bunch.
Larosche were do you ride?

Robbie,
I ride at the NATRA land in West Point, TN, at the CMRA land at Skyline and any SERA event.
Today we set up my bike (cut out the top of the air box and took out the pipe cork) and a friend's new KTM 450 EXC.
We put handguards on both and set the sag.

The Honda is pretty loud without the cork. I am going to do some testing after it is broken in. I hope to run a lap around an Enduro/Hare Scrambles type of loop with and without the cork. My lap times are usually pretty consistant, so the test should tell if the cork makes me slower of faster.

I will let you know. If it is raining tomorrow we will not be going out. If not then I will be at the CMRA land.

We've been riding at west point for years and go to loretta lynn's twice a year. West point is about the best it has everything you could want. See you on the trail.

I love this new bike!!! I am 6 foot, 180lbs...and the bike handles like a dream. I have had my bike about a month now and put about 200 miles on it. I have rode twice now at Draper lake in OKC. I will try and give you an idea on what it has felt like to me so far.

It has plenty of power stock for tight twisty trails and then some for the long dirt roads. My buddy has a XR250R and it won't even come close to keeping up with the CRF as far as power. Now I must admit that his seems to handle better in the really tight stuff, but I'm also new at riding so my lack of skill is sure a factor there. The CRF corners like it is on rails though. There are lots of switch backs that I would call wash boards....Lots of fun to ride up on the sides and then drop into the next turn. This is where I notice the biggest difference compared to the XR. The CRF just steers through these like it is on rails. As for the power stock form, it seems like it has more than enough power but never to much to handle. It never feels out of control on the trails like some 2 strokes have rode. And talk about easy to ride!!! Man this is a bike that anyone can just jump on and ride. It just fits like a glove. As far as problems, I have had only one and that is my thumb is getting tired of hitting that magic button!!!! Gotta love it. I have had to tighten the spokes and adjust the chain. Mine was also hard to start at first so I adjusted the air/fuel mixture some. Now no problems starting, it starts great with the magic button or kick. Other than that this bike has been great so far. I let a buddy who has a CRF450R ride mine on a local track just to see how it would do on the jumps. ( I DO NOT MX !!! TO DARN OLD) He was hitting a large table top with it by the third lap and having no problem with the suspension or motor. He came back after 10 laps with this to say. "This bike is very easy to ride. Felt like it floated over all the small to medium hits and still took the big hits without bottoming out. Has plenty of power for a stock motor."

Well that is my observations so far. I am not a great rider, just your average joe out to have fun and maybe race in the SLOW OLD FART division. So I hope this helps anyone who is looking at buying the CRF250X. I paid $5900 out the door price. No tax or set up fees. I got mine at Neosho Power Sports in Neosho Missouri. I may have spelt the state wrong but you get the idea I am sure...lol Well good luck to all and ride safe, hope to see you on the trials some day...
