I have installed two of the www.ht-racing.com 350 kits. The bike is uncomparable to what it started out as. The 350 kit makes the bike be what is should be. It has a nice light feeling ride with great trackable power able to lift the front end with a crack of the throttle. I highly encourage people to try this kit.

You mentioned the 350 kit and Angry Jim mentioned the 300. I've also heard about the '305'. Do you have any experience with these other two?

Jim, are you thinking about a 250rfs?

I have used the HT-Racing 350 kit. The 300 kit is by Thumper Racing, I think. I have experience only with the HT-Racing mods. HT has both a 305 kit and a 351 kit.

KTM CHRIS, I was going to PM you because now I'm starting to feel like an idiot. But I figure someone else on the off chance might also be as lame on this info as I am, so here goes:

Now that you've thrown 351 into the mix, whats the diff between the 350 kit and the 351? And HT Racing is the only one who makes them? I am considering one of these kits for my 250 but I do not know which one. Is this a modification people do on their own or is it recommended to get it done at the KTM shop? Thanks.

Getmetoca: My riding buddy and I both have the HT Racing 351cc kit in our 04 250RFS.. Huge difference, like KTM Chris said. Bill at HT Racing can either do the work or a good KTM shop should be able to do it easily. The 305cc kit is more for the tight woods and the 351cc kit works great in the SoCal desert. I went up two teeth on the counter shaft sproket without any problem.

Dave.

Kelly said you got a new 250. I assumed 2stroke. What made you go with the thumper? It just seems like you had it dialed on the 200.

Zio,
I don't even remember posting this question.
I totally forgot. Anyway, I have been considering a 250 4stroke of some kind. As you now know, the 250 I bought was a 2 stroke and I like it a lot, especially in the mud. I still ride the 200, but I will be racing the 250 this year.

Hey Dave...I have a stock 2002 KTM 250 EXC rfs and am about ready to order my 351 kit from HT. I ride Michigan woods, two-track and some southern Ohio/Indiana single track, occasional Dual-Sport. Is the 351 kit the best choice for this type of riding, or am I going to wish I'd gone with the 305?

Another question, with the kits, will I have to remove the Power Now Carb mod?
